What is the difference between GET and POST HTTP methods?

GET: retrieve data, parameters in URL, cacheable, bookmarkable, length limited, idempotent. POST: submit data, parameters in body, not cached, not bookmarkable, no length limit, not idempotent. GET for reading, POST for creating/updating.
